Ecclesiology comes from two Greek words:
1. “ecclesia” means “called out”, “assembly” or “church”
2. “logos” which means “word concerning”, “to discuss”, “to study”.
This term is not used in the Scriptures.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
