SIH TOTT ICON(Psa 23:6)  thou anointest my head with oil…

In the Bible, the Lord anoints people when they are called to do a specific work for Him.  Kings, Priests, Prophets, and others, were anointed to announce that they were given a specific task from the Lord. The anointing publically signified that the Lord, in the person of the Spirit, sanctioned them, and would enable them, for that ministry.

Today let us begin our day remembering that, if we are recipients of His gracious forgiveness, we have been called to be witnesses for Him.  He has given us His authority and enabling power to live our lives for Him….

As members of His local churches, we have been given the authority to evangelize, baptize and indoctrinate those around us… let’s take our church membership seriously, and work together to fulfill the commission He has given to us.

May the Lord bless each one of us as we “Think On These Things”.

  1. A Church has many roles but one purpose is to present opportunities for service, where each person has a ministry (big or small or tiny) in a body which works together with Christ as the Head and fulfills His purpose in the world. While we enjoy a social aspect of meeting together, the Church is NOT a social club. We have a responsibility and we are accountable.

That is so true.. it seems as if, in some cases, we have a tendency to forget the Great Commission was given to His church and center on the social aspect to an extreme. All the social aspects of the church meeting should take a back seat to the ultimate purpoose fo the church… glorify Christ and fulfill His commission He has given to us.

      Great comments again!

      May the Lord bless you.
