“The Color Green: A Picture of Divine Blessings”
(St. Patrick’s Day Devotional/Lesson from Psalm 52:8-9)
“But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before thy saints.”

Consider the fact that St. Patrick’s Day is supposed to be a Christian day. Consider what it has turned out to be. There is a mass, then there is a parade, then there is great drunkenness. And, of course, the media and liberal politicians want homosexuals to be a part of the parade.
Just because the lost world sinfully observes this holiday doesn’t mean that as Christians we must do likewise. St. Patrick’s Day, much like Christmas and Easter gives us a great opportunity to show the lost world how to enjoy time with family, friends, co-workers or church members in a God-honoring way.
This can be done very easily by abstaining from the sins you have mentioned and then inviting others to join with us, enjoying time together and sharing the truth of Christ to our lost acquaintances. What a blessing it is to know we have turned a fleshly, carnal celebration into an opportunity to share Christ with others with our actions and words.
It is very difficult for me to believe that the Lord is displeased with us inviting our acquaintances to our home (abstaining from the sinful practices) while sharing with them the Word of the Lord including the gospel message.
Lord bless you. Thanks for your comments.
Excellent post! I am in constant amazement at the resources you offer onsite! This is a very good work!
Enjoy your day…

Hi Steven,
Thanks for such kind words. I thank the Lord for allowing the ministry here to exist and prosper. My heart’s desire is to expand the ministry to cover subjects as of yet uncovered and to share the Word in other formats, I am trusting the Lord to supply the necessary time to continue and increase the ministry here. We have a long way to go, but the Lord has brought us far in the past four years! May Christ alone be praised
Agreed…it is by God’s will that everything happens. And He is rewarding good works around “online ministries” in several places!
Keep to the path…
Steven
A great Idea!
Thanks so much SJ for your consistent words of encouragement. Lord bless you my friend.
