SIH TOTT ICONRev 1:2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

The Apostle John, as he handed down the message of Revelation to mankind, revealed Christ to his readers. John’s message was described in three different ways: “the word of God”, “the testimony of Christ”, and “all the things that he saw”.  Folks we can learn much about our witness for Christ by looking at these three descriptions.

We are to share Christ with others by:

1. Giving to them the Word of God. Folks by sharing the teachings of God’s Word with others, we can share with them the person and work of Christ and the wonderful gift of salvation that He offers to sinful mankind.

2. Presenting a testimony (personal witness) of Jesus Christ. Folks, being a living witness for Christ is sharing with others our personal experiences. We can share with them our initial salvation experience, the many blessings the Lord has given to us, His intervention in our lives during the tough times, as well as the continuing sorrow for sin and need of repentance that we all experience throughout our lives.

3. Finally, we can also explain all the things that we saw taking place around us. We can share how we see the Lord working in the world around us; His intervention in the lives of others, our churches and the nations of the world; the signs of the end times etc etc.

Folks, by keeping these three basic areas of witness in our minds, we can more effectively share Christ with those around us.

As we begin our day, let’s all ask the Lord to open up opportunities for us to tell others about Him. As the opportunity arises let try to share Christ using the Word, our personal experiences, and the events taking place around us.

May the Lord bless us as we seek to serve Him, the One that is so clearly revealed to us in the book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.

We definitely should be spreading the word and living it every day. Thanks!

I like the way you avoided the usual human speculations regardin Revelation. It is a most misunderstood book, and left in the hands of the “well intentioned,” it can be disasterous to Chrisanity!

Share what we know clearly…Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and our Savior. Confess Him before others as such and we begin the process of salvation. Turn away from our sinful ways and be baptized for forgiveness in the name of this Jesus. Live according to Godly commands with all of our mind, heart, and soul.

And love others as we would ourselves. Share our faith respectfully with any who ask us about our hope.

    This is pleasing to God…

I appreciate the kind words. What a wonderful thing it is to know that through the graces of repentance and faith we can find eternal forgiveness and security in Christ! By God’s grace as we continue in Revelation we will be learning these truths and many more about our wonderful Lord! Lord bless you my friend.

Thank you so much. We all must accept the fact that learning to be a better Christian is a life long job! It begins with finding the right path and then plowing onward!

Thank you for your encouragement and continued visits.

Very well said! What a blessing it to know that the Lord will send His truth to those who genuinely desire to receive it. But also He promises that when we seek to worship Him, He will bless and receive that act of worship when it is one through the intervention of the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s Word is present. Lord bless you!

          • The True Light! says:

There are many “deeper meanings” within the scriptures which we may never completely understand until we reach heaven.

But on this we unite…the Lord God IS God, and He is worthy of all true praise!

Yep, that is for sure. One thing we know… we have a tremendous need to share Christ with those around us! Lord bless.

          • The True Light! says:

Without question! The gospel of Christ crucified is the message we as Christians need to focus our attention and effort on.

For the will of God is that none should perish and that all come to Him in obedience for salvation…

Thanks again for all of your great comments, my friend.
