Job 19:23-27 (KJV)

23) Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
24) That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
25) For I know [that] my redeemer liveth, and [that] he shall stand at the latter [day] upon the earth:
26) And [though] after my skin [worms] destroy this [body], yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27) Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; [though] my reins be consumed within me.

  1. Debbie says:

What wonderful scripture from Job! Thank you, thank you!

  3. SLIMJIM says:

I’ve been amazed at how the concept of redeemer was already so early in the book of Job–certainly the whole Bible is about Jesus!

  4. The True Light! says:

Faith is taking the first step when we can’t see the rest of the staircase! I know that my Redeemer lives, and trust in His promises for life. I can’t “see” it all now, but Lord willing, (and He is), I will see it on that final day!

    • Rob Barkman says:

AMEN! Very well said! Lord bless.

      • The True Light! says:

Thanks Rob. Building faith takes faith! We have to trust in God, as a child trust his or her parent…childlike certainty can be hard for some of us to give…even to God!

Just got to keep working on it!

        • Rob Barkman says:

You are not the only one… it is such a blessing to know we have a forgiving Lord that enables us to continue serving him in spite of our lack of full commitment! Lord bless.

          • The True Light! says:

We are not perfect as humans, despite our best efforts. We will still fall to temptations sometimes. Hopefully we sin less often as we grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our Father.

Thanks as always for your insights, Rob!

          • Rob Barkman says:

Very very true TTL. None of us will reach perfection until we receive our glorified bodies and enter into eternity with our Lord! May the Lord bless you this weekend!

          • The True Light! says:

Try to imagine a place with no sin, no sickness, no sorrow, none of the worldly things we battle against each day!

But we trust in that hope each day. Thanks for your dedication to the gospel message, Rob…

          • Rob Barkman says:

What a place that would be (and is)! What a blessing it is to know that, if we have trusted in Christ, that will be our new home someday! Lord bless you my friend.

          • The True Light! says:

We are truly blessed with so much love in God through Christ!

Take care, Rob, and thanks for the continued support…

          • Rob Barkman says:

AMEN! What a wonderful blessing it is!
