(16)  And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

In John’s vision, he sees an army of spiritual horsemen gathered to battle.  This is only one time of many where angels are pictured as multitudes going to battle…

Deu 33:2 KJV – And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.

2Ki 6:16-17 KJV – And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Mat 26:53 KJV – Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

What an amazing thought.  Although they cannot be seen, there are multitudes of angels walking among us.

Folks, because we are tempted and see many horrible sins taking place around us we are constantly reminded of the presence of fallen angels (demons) that work in the hearts of men.  But how many times are we reminded of the great multitude of elect angels that do their work among us as well?

What is even greater is the knowledge that, many of God’s angels are sent to the earth with the express purpose of ministering to the people of God…

Heb 1:13-14 KJV – But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?  Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Did you come close to having a car accident today?  Perhaps it was an angel that God sent to deliver you.

Did someone mean intend to harm you, but it resulted in your good?  Perhaps the Lord sent and angel to intervene on your behalf.

Did someone oppose your attempt to serve the Lord, but did not succeed?  Perhaps you should thank the Lord for sending an angel to allow your spiritual victory.

ALWAYS REMEMBER… the same angels that could have delivered Christ from the cross are the same angels that are sent by the Lord to work on our behalf!

May we all think on these things today and find encouragement and comfort for our hearts!

Please see Joel 2:11 and then read a vivid description of those who apply His Word (Joel 2:1-10).

I think or believe there is a mighty Army in training today as in the day of Gideon.

What a thought to think God in His sovereignty allow angels to minister to us
