Rev 14:4 KJV – “These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”
The saved that have died and gone to heaven are described as “these are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth.” One of the great hallmarks of the life of a child of God is their willingness to follow their Lord in every area of their lives. Christ Himself explained this principle to us when He said ….
Joh 10:27-29 KJV – “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
WOW. What a wonderful passage for us this morning. In this text, our Lord relates to us three characteristics of those who have turned from their sins and, by faith, accepted Christ as the Lord of their life and Savior from their sins…
A genuine believer will:
- My sheep hear my voice, – be able to understand God’s Word, and recognize His will for their life
- and I know them, – the Lord recognizes and accepts them, forming a relationship with them
- and they follow me: – will willfully submit to His desires and calling for their life.
We need to be honest with ourselves. Do these three marks characterize our life? If so, then we can know that we have been given spiritual life and eternally secure in Him….
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Folks, these are the people that John saw standing before God’s throne in heaven. Will we be found there as well?

Good study; I think teaching young believers the role of a believer following the Savior’s voice is very important.
